UTOPIA brought young makers from Parkstad together to imagine their ideal future. Working from various disciplines, they collaborated as a collective on one shared vision.

At the heart of it all was an important question: how can we shift the energy in this region from complaining and negativity towards creativity, connection, and positive decisiveness?

The project, initiated by Stichting De Positieve Stad , revolved around precisely that shift: from “I” to “we”.

In the Maankwartier, the makers transformed a raw, bare space into an intimate, layered exhibition. Through collaborative concept development, spatial interventions, routing, and a carefully chosen atmosphere, a single collective Utopia emerged, constructed from fifteen individual perspectives.

UTOPIA shows how talent, when it comes together, not only creates art but also sets an area in motion.
